Green Legs and Hands was set to be Invidiosus' debut full-length album, to be released in 2008. However, Alex Lousimet, who wrote a good portion of the songs on Green Legs and Hands, was let go in spring of 2008, to be replaced by Kevin Alter. Invidiosus wrote several other songs for the album, but in fall of 2008, Invidiosus parted ways with their longtime drummer, Ogar Baumgard, and after bringing Jake Lemay into the band, it was decided that the album would be scrapped. The tracks "Gametime", "The Croator", and "Spiral Killosophy" were chosen to be scrapped completely, while "Involuntary Tracheotomy", "Deaf School Fire Alarm", "Feed Us Fetus", "Despairagus", "Skankshank", and "The Apostles Bleed" were chosen to be redone with Jake Lemay on drums, to be released on a full-length album (in addition to several new tracks) sometime in 2009.
