"Gotye" was a self-released album created by Gotye in 2001. It contains 8 tracks, all of which being some of his earliest music. Very little copies of the album would be handmade by Gotye and sent out to Radio stations and Recording industries in hopes of becoming a music artist. The album was picked up by Triple J, after which he decided to make a proper release and repurposed most of the songs for his first label-released album "Boardface". However a few songs would be left out from the final release of Boardface - "Riding the Pumpkin Home", an instrumental track expanding on the instrumentals of "What Do You Want" which lasted 5 minutes; (2nd Generation Dub) Lullaby which lasted 6 minutes and "Eighties Bonanza (Stadium Jam)" which lasted 3 minutes in length.
