Album
Amber Rubarth independently released her third full length album, GOOD MYSTERY on August 23, 2009 to a sold out audience at New York City's theater Joe's Pub, where such greats as Leonard Cohen, David Byrne, Richard Thompson and Bono have performed. The same day, her album was released exclusively on Amie Street and jumped up to the #1 Chart position, where it stayed for 3 weeks. Rubarth created a hand-made Special Collectors Edition box for the first 1000 CDs. The "Making of Good Mystery" video is online at http://YouTube.com/MoonlightOverthrewU She reaches out into the unknown on her new album, with original songs based around our overwhelming curiosity to understand the world around us. She self-penned each song, with one co-write, "Pilot," music by Nate Campany and Amber Rubarth. Rubarth quotes the following from Albert Einstein to explain the mood of this album. "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." Amber is currently on tour in the US and Europe. In September she toured as an opener for Joshua Radin and Gary Jules throughout the U.S. and Canada. NPR says "I was attracted by her honesty and humor." The BOSTON GLOBE says "You will leave with a crush on her." Rubarth was recently featured on THE HUFFINGTON POST in an article written by Phil Ramone and D
