Golden Stairs is the fictional story of a religious teenager suffering from schizophrenia and struggling to come to terms with his new illness. Convinced that the devil has taken possession of his mind, he attempts to stop the voice from returning by throwing himself into the sea. After going missing, he is found and taken to hospital where he starts a miraculous recovery process. When waking from his coma, he finds that the voices in his head have gone.
