Album
Why has nothing been written on this page??? "God Save The Clientele" may well be their best ALBUM -- meaning song one to song fourteen -- that the band has put out, but all people listen to is "Since K Got Over Me!?" Not to take anything away from that song or album, but this one gently blows fairy dust into the listener's eardrums, with the band's non-stop, heart wrenching lyrics and melodies. "Isn't life Strange?" is far and away one of the best love songs of the decade, while "The Garden at Night" shows how they can crank up the amp's and distortion for a freak-out, frenzy, the likes of which one might hear in Swinging London of the 60's. Again, "Carnival on 7th St," "Dreams of Leaving," "Here Comes the Phantom," "The Queen of Seville" -- they're all the dreamiest pschedelia anyone will find these days. The amazing aspect of the band's textures is that they STILL manage to come off sounding intellectual and sexy too. Luna with more coherent lyrics and better vocals. Okay, less guitar riffs, but more identifiable love songs. They have a formula -- and it works. Their new album is highly anticipated.... By me! Even "Suburban Light's" -- their 1st album -- is good, but everything since has been a true gift, so fans: listen to a FEW other songs than just the the one-listen wonders! This band has been transported in Doc Brown's Delorian for God's Sake, so save them from Biff already. He hates Manure!!!! User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons
