Gita was written and recorded during the Summer of 2009, in the Rustbelt city of Buffalo, New York, while living in the gritty and eclectic neighborhood of Allentown. Originally released in July of 2009, this is an official re-release of Gita, with a slightly altered track listing and an updated album art. Having created these pieces during a very turbulent time in his life, the feelings and trials are deeply expressed in Manning's often introspective, exploratory, and spiritually-influenced lyrics.
