The Price Of Victory Drakkar - Gemini The debut "Quest For Glory" already had been a good album, but it barely stood out in the Italian uniformity. A fact that DRAKKAR should manage with "Gemini". Sure, they still play Power Metal, but, hm, how should I put it, less "Italian" than before, but the riffing here and there reminds me a little of RUNNING WILD. OK, they still are not oozing of originality, but so few bands do that, so let's not take this into consideration here. No matter, if you take speedy crackers like "Eridan Falls" or "The Secret", mid-tempo-songs a la "Pure Of Heart" or "The Climb" or the nearly eleven-minute-long epos "Until The End" with its changes in tempo and feeling, it all shows that DRAKKAR have matured a lot compared to their debut and clearly show the potential to survive after the end of the Power/True Metal-flood.
