Initially released in 1970 by Polydor (catalogue reference 283-022 A) with the title "Juju", it was withdrawn from retail outlets soon afterwards and re-issued entitled "Gass". The album is notable for featuring guitarist Peter Green (who had just left Fleetwood Mac) on two tracks, Juju" and "Black Velvet".
