Krautrock, soundscape, minimalism. A best-of compilation of A Slow Rip's last three years of work, drawn from seven of their self-made CD-R albums, released by Endgame Records in late 2008. Originally derived from group improvisations, pieces were later composed from the material and mixed by the group. Some pieces are harsher, glitchier and clunkier; some are lighter and more ambient/drone-based. All have a subtlety, musicality and warmth to them. The pieces were mostly recorded on tape and then mixed digitally.
