“Flying Away” is a collection of song ideas Scott Ryser has been slowly working on ever since the UNITS broke up. That’s why the album sounds a bit like an old ‘80’s synth record at times, a couple of the songs were actually written in his late 20’s. For this album, Scott stayed true to his roots and kept it all synthesizers and drums (except for Blaine L. Reininger’s violin solo on "Society For Two").
