1980 ECM Records This is the first of two albms for ECM featuring this fantastic line-up of British saxophonist John Surman, the late Kenny Kirkland (just before becoming famous with the Wynton Marsalis Quintet), and ECM regular Jon Christensen. Much of the album is serene and meditative, yet there are moments of fire and passion interspersed. "Concerto in Three Parts" is a solo bass piece that shows Miroslav's great technical skill. Great compositions that express a certain mood while leaving room for personal interpretations by the soloists.
