Filler, the latest album from The Cassini Projekt (released on 17th March 2012), is an intense mix of hard rock, progressive rock and metal, also incorporating elements of electronica, classical music, industrial, rap, doom and death metal. Lyrically Filler explores themes of world war, the psychology of imperialists, the apocalypse, alienation from the universe and political corruption. Track descriptions are below. The End of Everything is about whether humans are algorithmic machines or whether there is a component of insight to consciousness. It is also about alienation from hierarchy and society in general, making choices pertaining to destiny and whether we are doomed to repeat history based on ideologies and self interest. Musically the song was influenced by the production style for songs from the year 1992 and car ad music in addition to George Harrison guitar solos. Citadel of Sorrow is a critique of the arrogance of the banking/financial sectors and the double standards they have introduced into Western societies. It is also about a hypothetical end of the world and nuclear war scenario brought about by the foolish recklessness of world elites and how their ambition exceeds their competence to control its consequences. Musically the song is intended to be a heavy metal song with dance elements in the style of Rammstein. There is also a massive doom metal section that is heavily influenced by Reverend Bizarre.
