Farewell is scored for er-hu (Chinese fiddle), cello, percussion, bicycle wheels, cassette tape players and soundtrack performed by Byron Au Yong, Tiffany Lin and Paul Kikuchi with guest speakers Mike Au Yong and Ying Zhou. The music was created for Donald Byrd & Spectrum Dance Theatre's production of Farewell: A Fantastical Contemplation on America's Relationship with China, performed at The Moore Theater in Seattle, February 2010.
