Album
"Faceless" is the debut full length LP from NJ Bloodline. It was recorded in the summer of 2000 in between their touring schedule. The LP was recorded for Kingfisher/Century Media globally and Too Damn Hype domestically. The LP contains songs from their first demo, the "Be Afraid" EP and some newer tracks. The LP has a few themes that run throughout the release. The first theme is that underground music has become a commodity or product on a shelf complete with barcodes and sales figures, just like the scene's mainstream "opponents". Secondly that following trends for increased record sales is ultimately against the band's principals and the perceived principals of the underground music scene. Lastly, from the lyrics of the title track "Faceless", the singer (Wreak Havoc), expresses his disillusionment and discontent with the lack of passion, originality and individuality with the modern underground scene. Musically the LP is the most diverse release from the band. The band incorporating instrumentals not derived from the Hardcore/Metal genre. The last track is actually the band's cover of "La Bamba". Given the serious lyrical themes of the LP, such as drug addiction, disillusionment with the music scene, anger, rage and death, the cover is a fun and positive end to the LP.
