Album
Following the break up of his first serious girlfriend in mid-2006, Angus aka. The Peach Tree set about writing and recording "Fabric" in a haze of stony contemplation and wallowing. He didn't do many takes on the vocals, preferring to capture the raw, unrefined essence of his emotions and thoughts, but looking beyond the sometimes cringe-inducing voice, there is real power and beauty in the structure and texture of this album. The title comes from the idea of "pulling threads together" from different styles into one fabric tapestry, each song blending seemlessly into the next. This "fusion" of different styles has come to be a distinct characteristic of The Peach Tree's albums. The outstanding single off this one, mind soul dark light, Angus's first and only prog metal song, has been described as a "A graphic dirge" by metal webzine Harm.us User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
