Released August 18th, 2011 to bandcamp, with pre-order for a 12" physical vinyl record (Limited to 500). General idea of the EP, from Tom: "Explorers 6 which is the most ambitious and fully realised Explorers EP to date. There is no connecting theme or idea, and each song works well standing alone. I sort of see it as a culmination of the previous five, since it draws a lot from the things I’ve learned and developed in the series up until this point and reintegrates it into something new. I feel like it’s a halfway point between my previous ‘proper’ releases and my experimental work. In many ways, it’s the music I’ve always wanted to make but that I’ve never had the time to achieve in a studio with others or the ability to achieve as a producer and musician in my bedroom." The first 300 orders got specially drawn index cards. From Tom: "Every drawing is done on an index card, numbered and signed. They all stand alone, but they are also each part of a 300-page collective work about explorers six, creating a hypothetical mythology behind them that elaborates on the music in further detail. Not all the cards are about the music, but all the cards are linked to all the others by the symbolic language created for the project featuring six ‘explorers’: complex planet marble trash ball light magnet numbers arrow (time) The cards have only been together once, when the project was fully completed, and now as they’re being shipped out, 300 people will hold a tiny fragment of a
