"Experience" (also known as "The Prodigy Experience") is the debut studio album by the English electronic music group The Prodigy, released on 28 September 1992 by XL Recordings. Liam Howlett was the sole composer for the album, with only Maxim Reality among the other three members contributing, performing vocals on the final track. The album’s sleeve notes acknowledge a wide range of breakbeat hardcore artists active in the early 1990s, including SL2, Carl Cox, Moby, Tim Westwood, Orbital, and Aphex Twin. "Experience" peaked at number 12 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified platinum in the United Kingdom. It was later licensed to Elektra Records for release in the United States. Upon release, the album received very positive reviews. Kris Needs of NME described it as a definitive record for illustrating the 1992 rave scene, suggesting it would serve future generations better than typical rave compilations. AllMusic awarded "Experience" five out of five stars, noting that it showcases The Prodigy at the peak of their early capabilities and that nearly every track could be considered a potential hit. Tom Ewing of Freaky Trigger praised the album for its "four-minute warnings" and "hyperactive ravey blasts" that displayed irreverence rather than a learned attitude.
