Album
Evergreen Nights is the first album by Canadian singer Lisa Lougheed. It is also the third and last soundtrack album for the 80s children's animated television series The Raccoons, where Lougheed voiced the character of Lisa Raccoon. Lougheed later revealed that half of the songs were recorded while she had a cold and that she did not know Evergreen Nights was going to be released as an album because she thought the songs were only being used for the show. Other artists who appear on the album are Curtis King Jr. and Steve Lunt, who take lead vocals on the tracks "New World" and "Don't Fear the Fire" respectively. The album includes the single "Run With Us", the end theme song from The Raccoons. Written by Kevin Gillis, Jon Stroll, and Steve Lunt, it was originally recorded by Lunt for the first season in 1985 but was later covered by and is more associated with Lougheed. With its cult popularity among 80s kids, it has subsequently been covered by a handful of other artists, including British singer Bright Light Bright Light on his 2017 EP Cinematography II: Back in the Habit. In 2011, it was also included in the closing credits of Canadian action movie Hobo with a Shotgun. Originally released in November 1987, re-released in 1988 and pressed in somewhat small quantities, Evergreen Nights more recently received a re-issue on vinyl in 2019. As of 2021, the album is yet to receive any form of CD or digital release. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Co
