eve is heylog’s debut album, first announced through an Instagram story on December 19, 2023. The number of tracks and release date were revealed on January 3, 2024, through another Instagram story post. The sound constructed on eve builds itself up from the ambient introduction. In traditional heylog fashion, there are many instruments and reverberation blended together with samples and his own vocals. There are hints of inspiration and similar sounds to previous singles interpolated. No defined genre is oriented, but eve takes on heylog’s style of alternative pop. heylog approaches eve biblically with the overarching theme being a heavy focus on the figure Eve. The lyrical content throughout creates a setting that is ancient with the recurring phrase “empty roads,” and “paranoid” being a story of a literary pastoral lifestyle.
