The debut release from Eutechnik sees Berlin based Irlander Brian Smith neatly walk the line between body and brain music over the course of the 7 tracks of Symmetry. Beautifully arpeggiated synths ebb and flow over neatly constrained drum programs whilst almost proggy leads punctuate the rhythms with ideas of their own, spitting and attacking at will. Although there is weight in the sound the overall effect is dreamlike giving the album a dualilty that keeps Symmetry growing on repeated listens.
