Slam the Door Recorded @ Analogue Catalogue > Home of the Vaselines Recorded by Julie McLarnon (The Vaselines, Happy Mondays, New Order, Inspiral Carpets) Mixed and Mastered by Rob Ferrier (Atomic Kitten, The Zutons) Description The recording of each track was individually done using separate rooms which took many hours setting up and installing. It was needed to capture natural reverb and other desired sounds. We mastered to half inch tape to keep it big, rounded and warm. During mastering we set up a live room as an echo chamber and fed the vocals to a speakerin there , then miked the speaker with 3 mics (heard most famously on Abbey Road) to get the vocal delay. All recording were done live with no duplication of tracks or effects.
