Toluene were operating under the name Biz Baz Boz, releasing copious amounts of low quality music on Last.fm and Soundcloud. Despite this, they were approached by Candy Bass Records, who 'liked' their music and offered a distribution deal. Biz Baz Boz accepted, and compiled the album Electrophile. A few tracks were old Biz Baz Boz tracks that had turned out alright, a few more were prepared (or finished) following acceptance of the deal, and a few holes were plugged using some of the finer works from one of the band members' solo project. Despite knowing some friends who genuinely bought the album, and presumably some other people may have bought a track or two, Toluene received absolutely no royalties as promised, and CBR dissolved before the end of the year long contract. The Spotify/Amazon/iTunes etc buy links were supposed to come down in 2013, we have no idea who gets the money (it certainly isn't us), so don't buy it. It's as good as an album can get when it's cobbled together using mostly improvised, low quality recordings, with no mastering or conceptual theme. Later work is freely available on Soundcloud under the names of Toluene/azolla/BBB, Nu-Other and God's Azolla.
