Electric Mantra is the creation of Van Roland who release his first self-titled debut album on 090909. The record is described as alternative pop rock with melody and kaleidoscope. This haze induced record celebrates that salvation is in the music which ranges from new wave rock to mountain dulcimers. This melody driven record showcases Van Roland’s powerful voice which can sooth and excite. Two tracks from the album, “Monkey” and “All The Way To Marz,” were co-written by Peter DiStefano (Porno For Pyros). Electric Mantra has been supporting the album with acoustic shows in western Canada and plans a North American tour in early 2010.
