The album took approximately two years to make and was created by mixing together samples taken from mp3s, tapes, cds, and old records, as well as some self-made recordings of various sounds. Heavily influenced by industrial rock and trip hop (in addition to many other styles), Dust contains rhythmically driven, sample-based songs, that are intentionally noisy but also very accessible.
