DUNE is the first album by Japanese rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel. It was released in a limited edition on April 10, 1993. The regular edition, which contained the additional track "Ushinawareta Nagame", was available on April 27 of the same year. With the regular edition, the band reached number 1 on the oricon indie chart on May 10. With this, they got popular between the indie bands. To promote the album, music videos for "Dune", "As if in a Dream" and "Floods of Tears" were created, but only the last was released as single. A tenth anniversary edition of "Dune" was released on April 21, 2004. It was remastered and contains three bonus tracks. DUNE 10th Anniversary Edition is a reissue featuring new cover art, remastered tracks and three additional songs. It reached #5 on the Oricon charts, charted for nine weeks and sold 65,575 copies.
