"Dumb Happy Choir", released on the private label Fun in the Morgue Rec. / Music From The Wooden House in december 2008, is the first SingSallySing-CD released as a full band. While the former homerecordings of songwriter Sascha have sometimes sounded a little confused due to the lust of experimenting with different possibilities, this CD sounds more homogenuos and even more cut back, leaving more space for the songs themselves as well as for details. Based on bass, acoustic guitar, melodica and vocals, there's a sparse use of percussion, sometimes a second guitar, harp oder a children's piano. "Dumb Happy Choir" is settled between the Mountain Goats and Leonard Cohen, between tristesse and humor, between late night acoustic pop and punk-infected folk.
