Animal Tropical has created a pretty fascinating record with Doom Years, which is a reverb-happy, peppy-vocaled, one-part toned down Animal Collective, one-part toned up Ima Robot-ish 6 track joyride. It's noisy but not heavy, experimental but still-listen-able. Sadly "Go Native" is DNP, but the other 5 are good to go. Track 2--"20 Millas"--starts out with a Beach Boys-esque vocal medley, turns into a heavy, part-electronic meltdown and then peps it up again.
