Album
Released by Scarlet Records in October 2003, "Divine" stands as the debut full-length studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Blinded Colony. This album is a quintessential example of the Gothenburg-inspired melodic death metal subgenre, featuring a dynamic blend of aggressive guitar riffs, melodic hooks, and powerful drumming. Noteworthy tracks on "Divine" include "Heart" and "Legacy (Slaves in the Name of Christ)," which exemplify the band's adeptness at merging heavy and melodic elements. Of historical interest, it's worth noting that "Divine" marked the era featuring Swedish vocalist Niklas Svensson, who was part of the band from 2002 to 2004. Interestingly, Svensson was also the vocalist on a 2000 demo by Stigmata, a precursor to Blinded Colony. In a subsequent chapter of their musical journey, Blinded Colony changed their name to The Blinded in 2010, embarking on a new phase of their discography.
