"A Phase Selector soundtrack begins with drum and bass every time, the interaction of having bass and drum hit tape at the same instant is important to us." - Phase Selector Sound Influences: King Tubby, Ras Michael, Prince Far I, Alpha & Omega, Clash, Bad Brains and H.R., Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Subhumans. As most rock and roll bands started in someone's garage or basement or living room, Phase Selector Sound are two (ex?) punk rockers working out of their ad hoc home studios (heavily influenced by Radio Shack equipment). Very much in keeping with ROIR's long history of releasing the absolute best in dub by such artists as Lee Perry, Niney, Mikey Dread, Mad Professor, Black Uhuru, Badawi, Bill Laswell, Dub Syndicate, Ras Michael, Scientist, Yabby You, Oku Onuora --- and the list goes on!
