Upon the newfound creative freedom, Bebe Rexha revealed that the “unapologetic” era delves into trusting her instincts and artistic ideas after career-defining lessons. As electro-pop anthem “I Like You Better Than Me” introduced Dirty Blonde, Bebe Rexha told Billboard she will give the single treatment to each song that she recorded for her project: "I worked so hard on this album. It’s been three years now, and every song is so important me. They’re like your babies, you know? I don’t want to be conformed by a certain sound or certain boundaries."
