Dirty Blonde is Bebe Rexha’s fourth album; three years apart from Bebe. It marks her debut visual record under the label EMPIRE, following her departure from Warner Music Group. Upon the newfound creative freedom, Bebe Rexha revealed that the “unapologetic” era delves into trusting her instincts and artistic ideas after career-defining lessons. As electro-pop anthem “I Like You Better Than Me” introduced Dirty Blonde, Bebe Rexha told Billboard she will give the single treatment to each song that she recorded for her project: "I worked so hard on this album. It’s been three years now, and every song is so important me. They’re like your babies, you know? I don’t want to be conformed by a certain sound or certain boundaries." Bebe Rexha, who disclosed the trials and tribulations of being a “clean-girl pop star” at the demands of the music industry, celebrated her emancipation and new label deal, which allows her to show a side of her artistry on this occasion that she hasn’t been able to in the past.
