about this album

Desert Moon is the debut solo album of Styx singer/keyboardist Dennis DeYoung, released soon after the band split in 1984. It reached #24 on the Billboard Hot 200 charts, helped in part by the title track of the album, which became a hit, and the music video for the song "Don't Wait for Heroes", which received MTV airplay. Desert Moon is the most successful album out of any Styx member's solo career. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
