After the disbanding of Virgos Merlot following 'Signs Of A Vacant Soul' , vocalist/guitarist Brett Hestla, guitarist Ted "Deacon" Ledbetter, bassist/backup vocalist Chris Dickerson and drummer JD Charlton decided to reform the band, this happening with the exclusion of Jason Marchant. For legal reasons during this period of time, Virgos Merlot would change their name to ViRGOS. Before releasing their final studio album 'The Path Of Least Resistance' in 2002, ViRGOS put together an assortment of demo tracks which would help shape the studio album.
