Album
Alexander Chereshnev (aka Siberian Son) presents his new sound project Dead Poets. This is a mini-cycle of four musical tracks, united by a common theme, musical poetry. Musical part consists of industrial, break-beat, idm, dark ambient sounds and, as for poetry, it is represented by poems of V. Mayakovsky, A. Ahmatova, B. Okudzhava, and M. Lermontov were read by authors themselves, with exception of Lermontov's voice, it was replaced by Balzac Billy's one. Listening to this project you will perceive four different sides of Russian poetry in different historical and political periods. M. Lermontov represents russian tsarist's block, A. Ahmatova is from pre-revolutionary period, V. Mayakovsky shows revolutionary-futuristic school and B. Okudzhava is a representer of late Soviet one. They are all poets of completely contradictory historical epochs, separated from each other for decades with dissimilar political systems and attitudes, but a hidden thread binds them together - the tragic destiny and future of Russia. Progressive strata are still worry about this anxious theme and the release of the project "Dead Poets" is that only worthy evidence. http://www.lagunamuch.com User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
