DC Fridays was a series where DC would leak one of his songs on Soundcloud and YouTube every Friday. This was because his label (at the time, Run Music) was allegedly not letting him release any music on streaming platforms. Despite the entire DC Fridays series having 15 songs, only 5 of the songs appear on the streaming service release. This is because there was a break in the series, between July 27th, and November 22nd. At some point during this break, DC was finally able to start releasing his songs on streaming platforms again. Before uploading anything, however, he uploaded five songs every Friday between November 22nd and December 19th (releasing one every Friday), and released these five songs in an EP on streaming platforms a day after the last song was released, on the 20th. Each five of these songs shows DC’s versatility, as none of them sound alike. Welcome to the Show is a laid back song, where DC flows over a guitar instrumental. No Melody is filled with catchy one-liners and a beat with hard 808s. TBH YuR CooL RaTe 8 is DC’s first ever rock song, which is the most impressive showcase of his range as an artist. Rock Out features a piano instrumental that doesn’t have any sort of chorus, and is full of unique flows and personal lyrics. Closing off the EP is Do You Feel Me, which is a very mellow and introspective track. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
