This EP was created in a jam session in my basement that lasted about two hours. All of the songs were written, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered during this two hour span. This EP is not, however, a thought-out piece, as all of the songs are improvised in the moment of playing them which should be taken into consideration when listening to the tracks. This experiment mainly done to test out the various capabilities of his music creating equipment and current set-up. All tracks were performed on a Williams Allegro 2 digital keyboard connected to FL Studio 20, using various drone and pad presets available in the program. Midi notes were recorded in the program and no altering was done on playback. Songs were simultaneously mixed in FL Studio as well as Audacity. The result is called Days to reflect the Roman calendar; there are three main calendar days throughout a month as opposed to the modern concept of weekdays: the Kalends on the first day of the month; the Nones on the 7th or 9th day of the month; and the Ides on the 13th or 15th day of the month. The Kalends is reflected in the first track "Echo" as a dreary beginning to the month, as an omen of things yet to come. It's a song of anticipation or angst like we anticipate the following week looking forward from Monday.
