The album was written by Ronnie Neeley between May 2010 to April 2011, and contains 16 tracks. Track 3 uses vocal samples from Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead" off the "Manners" album. Track 5 uses vocal samples from Phoenix's "Lisztomania" off the "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix" album. Track 10 uses samples from Blake Reary's "Nowhere Near". Track 11 uses a sample from Xeon's "Binary Pulsar". Track 14 uses samples from Xeon's "Silence".
