Released in 2007, Dani Gurgel's first album brought compositions that were part of her project "Dani Gurgel e Novos Compositores" (Dani Gurgel and New Composers). During that year, Dani performed in many venues in São Paulo, Brazil, developing her 'new composers' project: at every concert, a different composer was invited to be a special guest. That composer would sing with her, and she would also sing his songs. The only rule to be considered a new composer was having released one album only, or none. "Dani Gurgel e Novos Compositores" had composers like Vinicius Calderoni, Tó Brandileone, Leo Bianchini, Cahê Rolfsen, Fábio Barros, Rafa Barreto, Ricardo Barros and Fabio Cadore. Some of them were recorded in this album, and many of them will be in Dani's next album, to be released 2008. Dani, which is also a composer, and new, recorded also one of her own songs, "Baião da Dona Dé", by her and Debora Gurgel.
