"Dangerously in Love" is the debut solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Beyoncé. It was released on 20 June 2003 by Columbia Records and Music World Entertainment. The album includes guest appearances from Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Sean Paul, Big Boi of Outkast, Sleepy Brown, and Luther Vandross, with some international editions featuring vocals from Vanness Wu and IAM. Musically, the album combines uptempo tracks and ballads, primarily within the R&B genre, while also incorporating elements of soul, hip-hop, and Arabic music. The album followed the announcement that each member of Destiny's Child would pursue solo projects after the release of their third studio album, "Survivor" (2001). Beyoncé served as executive producer, co-writing the majority of the songs, overseeing production choices, and contributing to mixing and mastering. Media outlets have interpreted several songs as reflecting her personal relationship with Jay-Z. Upon release, "Dangerously in Love" received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 317,000 copies. At the 46th Annual Grammy Awards (2004), the album and its songs won five awards, including Best Contemporary R&B Album, tying Beyoncé with Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, and Norah Jones for the most Grammys won by a female artis
