Ctrl is the debut studio album by American singer and songwriter SZA. The album was released on June 9, 2017, through Top Dawg Entertainment, and features guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Isaiah Rashad and James Fauntleroy. Ctrl received widespread critical acclaim upon its release, with many praising SZA's distinctive and soulful voice, as well as her introspective and confessional lyrics. The album was praised for its honesty and vulnerability, and for its exploration of themes such as love, heartbreak, and self-acceptance. The album spawned several hit singles, including "Love Galore," "The Weekend," and "Supermodel". "Love Galore" was certified Platinum 6x by the RIAA, and "The Weekend" became SZA's first top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Ctrl was nominated for five Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
