Album
this great album came out in 1977. the lead off single was ''just a song before i go'' written and sung by graham nash. a nice harmonic poignant song. once you dig deeper into the album you found tracks like graham's account of an acid trip in ''cathedral." the standout track is one of the best songs ever written in my opinion, stephen still's beautiful ''dark star''. he also sang the radio hit ''fair game'' which with it's risque lyric probably wouldn't be played today. nash wrote a beautiful rousing sparse ballad ''carried away''. crosby had two of his best in "shadow captain" and "in my dreams". all through the album their beautiful harmonies are there and it brought back a very important group that had been away for a few years as a combo in a magnificent way. it went to no.2 on the chart as fleetwood mac's rumors was no.1. it sold over 4 million copies, becoming CSN's best selling album (roughly 4,200,000+) and outsold any CSNY work at that point outside of Deja Vu (8,050,000+) or Harvest (5,750,000+).
