Released in April of 2011, "Crunk Aint Dead" features recordings from two sessions in 2008. Unlike most of albums by The Brown Christmas, here they stick to the same instruments for the majority of the album. "Crunk Aint Dead" has The Brown Christmas at their peak, just before their temporary hiatus in late 2008. There is a real consistant sound to this album, it's the closest they've ever come to sounding like a normal band; the songs are tightly structured (even though they are all one take improvisations) and there is a real heavy driving rocking feel to the songs.
