about this album

Released in 2003 by ReR, Crashing Icons is Absolute Zero's first full-length CD and features densely composed, controlled sonic mayhem, rock/abstract improvisations, complex time signatures, virtuosic playing and powerful, creative studio production. Compositions reveal an intelligent attention to detail—compositional, performative and sonic. All are epic pieces that reveal themselves more fully after numerous listenings. CD comes with a mini poster and informative liner notes by each of the band members (see Pip Pyle's description of the lost recording sessions). Enrique Jardines - bass, Pip Pyle - drums, Aislinn Quinn - keyboards and vocals. Guest artists: Jim Stewart - percussion, Keith Hedger - trumpet. CD graphics and mini poster design by Aislinn Quinn. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
