The Concertos follow the Overtures in the order of their composition. There are a total of 12 sections and each concerto is scored for two clarinets, two pianos, marimba, three violas and two double basses. Each movement is in a different ascending key. The Concertos are an extension of the ideas in the Sinfonias and Overtures and are the most fully developed music for large ensemble in this style.
