COMEBACK! (Also referred to as Christian and the Hedgehog Boys COMEBACK!) is the sophmore album from Virginia based pop-rock group Christian and the Hedgehog Boys. This is the first full length album from the band's MK2 lineup, with Punchy Sonichu replacing Shadow the Hedgehog on drums and percussion, and famed Sit 'n Spin virtuoso Wild Sonichu replacing Sonic the Hedgehog on lead guitar. After the release of the band's self titled debut, internal issues drove the band to go on hiatus. Rumors of the band's reunion were confirmed in early Spring 2009, when Christian Weston Chandler released two new singles with music videos, It's All Coming Back to Me and Holding Out for a Hero. COMEBACK! was released in May 2009. Similar to the band's early work, the album consists of lyrical parodies of popular hits. However, the album features notable departures from the band's early pop and Latin music influenced roots, displayed in parodies of Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise' and Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark.' Critical reception to COMEBACK! was less severe than their debut, critics praising Christian for his musical selection, but reviews were still negative. The album failed to chart in many countries and failed to match the success of their debut in Molvanîa, where Christian and the Hedgehog Boys are major pop icons.
