The brother of a british journalist who disappeared in Costa Rica over a year ago is set to release charity single ‘Come home’ as a poignant tribute to his brother. Michael Dixon walked out of his hotel room in Villa Macondo, Tamarindo, Costa Rica on the 18th October 2009 and then disappeared without a trace. To date despite extensive searches there are still no leads as to what may have happened to him. Sadly Michael now joins the millions who go missing each year around the world. His brother David Dixon has teamed up with his long time musical collaborator Mark Goodwin and gospel music genius Eric Robson former Motown musician to work on the ‘Come Home’ single. Lyrics of the song are written and sung by UK soul songstress Kyra Simone and features the gospel outreach ministry choir. American magazine Onixlink has noted ‘when you combine beauty, intelligence and a smooth voice with a sweet blend of unique R&B soul, Kyra Simone is what you get’. Kyra’s music has been frequently featured on BBC Radio 1XTRA and BBC 3 Radio Counties. David’s hopes by that the release of this single will help to maintain and increase awareness of Michael’s case. The majority of all funds will be donated to charities that have assisted the Dixon family with their search and the balance will go to the Help Find Michael Dixon fund which will assist the family in their continued search for their eldest son.
