"Close To Home" is the debut studio album from Moston, Manchester MC Aitch. The project follows his third EP "Polaris", released in May 2020. In April 2021, Aitch revealed that he would be taking a break from social media for a little while. Thought it was intended that it was to clear up his mental state, he was also taking a hiatus to work on his next project. He hasn’t released any solo music in 2021, but did feature on the remix of teenagers A1 x J1’s smash-hit single “Latest Trends” in March, as well as East London rapper Morrisson’s UK Garage inspired single “House & Garage” in May. He has also showcased a few snippets from his upcoming project through occasional Snapchat story posts. Aitch announced his return to social media on June 10th with a special Instagram Live. On the livestream, he showcased the album’s first single “Learning Curve”, which was released on June 24th. The album’s second single, “GSD” was released less than 2 months later, with the third single, “Party Round My Place” released on September 23rd.
