Album
If the rock music world were a war, Sweden would be controlling America right now. As it is, the country is just exporting the endless supply of rock bands it seemingly has on tap to our collective ears. Thankfully, unlike nu-metal, you can pretty well differentiate between all of them. One band, however, that has slipped past most is Citizen Bird, a five member collective out of Gothenburg. Setting out more to play within the inner confines of your mind, rather than merely get your ass up and dancing, Citizen Bird present a more tripped out version of the garage rock that Sweden has been most known for producing lately. Both "Glory" and "I Love You" are long, psychedelic flights of fancy that take the listener on a dark journey.
