Album
Celebrating Impending Chaos is the second album from UK black metal band Primitive Graven Image, and the band's first as a four piece. It was written and recorded at the bands own "Metal Farm" studios in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire in 2007 and 2008, and the final mix and master was done by Russ Russell at Parlour Sound in Northamptonshire in January 2009. Although remaining rooted in the bands early influences - bands such as Immportal, Emperor and Mayhem, other influences from fellow countrymen Anaal Nathrakh and The Axis Of Perdition can be found, along with more mainstream acts such as Nile. The album also expands on the instruments used, notably a Moog Synthesiser - certainly not a traditional black metal instrument - is used on a few tracks. The album was released Worldwide in 2010 via Envenomation Records in conjunction with Voiceprint Records.
