On CARVE, Josh is at his most progressive, pushing past the boundaries of EDM and finding enlightening new territory. Reprises by Russian wonderkind Tim Ismag and FiXT labelmates Varien and Blue Stahli draw additional nuances out of Josh's sound, and the album closes with a compelling modern take on Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata".
