Michael William Andersen used to drive a California Yellowcab in Santa Ana. The Hispanic customers frequently used to ask to be taken to Santana. They explained that Santana (pronounced the same as Carlos Santana) was the more familiar term. Also, Carlos appears to be a shortened version of carlost, or lost car. Santa Ana is very close to Los Angeles which is called the City of the Lost Angels, maybe Lost Cars too..
